Family celebrations where everyone remembers a different picture
A christening, first communion or confirmation is a day when the whole family comes together – often for the first time in ages. The godmother takes photos in church, the uncle over coffee and cake, the cousins out in the garden. In the end everyone has a few lovely pictures, but nobody has them all.
A shared gallery brings those points of view together. You put a card with a QR code on the table, and anyone who fancies it joins in. No account, no app, no swapping phone numbers.
So simple that the grandparents join in too
The most common objection at family gatherings is: “That’s far too complicated for Grandma.” So the process is deliberately short: scan the QR code with the phone camera, confirm the privacy notice, take photos. There are no more steps than that.
You design the printable table card yourself in the editor – with the child’s name, your own photo, in A4, A5 or A6. A quick explanation over the meal helps too: once people have seen how it’s done, they copy it.
Private, manageable and with an expiry date
Pictures of children don’t belong in open albums. The gallery can only be reached through your secret event link, the photos sit in private storage, and after the celebration you can close the event to new guests. For most family gatherings the Birthday package with up to 25 guests and 90 days of storage is enough.
During that time you download everything as a ZIP – as the basis for a photo book, for the thank-you cards or simply for the family archive. After that, the event and its pictures are deleted automatically.
Collecting photos at the family celebration: step by step
- Create the event and get your QR code. You create your event in the browser, pick colours and a welcome message and get a QR code plus link straight away. It only takes a few minutes.
- Hand out the code. Print the card from the editor in A4, A5 or A6 and put it on the tables at the family celebration – or send the link to the group beforehand.
- Guests take photos in the browser. Scan, confirm the privacy notice, start shooting. No app and no account. With poor reception, shots are stored and uploaded later.
- Reveal the gallery and save the photos. You open the gallery straight away, at a set time or with a click. Then you download all the pictures as a ZIP.

Tips for the family celebration
- Many churches prefer no photography during the service. So only put the cards out at the celebration afterwards.
- Ask a family member to help the older guests with the first scan – after that it runs by itself.
- Check beforehand that all parents are happy with photos of their children in the shared gallery.

Can relatives still upload photos later?
Yes, as long as the event is active and you haven’t closed it to new guests. If you allow existing pictures in the settings, photos from the phone’s gallery can be added too.
Are children’s photos safe here?
The gallery is private, the files sit in non-public storage and are deleted automatically after the storage period. There’s no face recognition and no AI training on your pictures.
How do we get the photos at the end?
As the host you download all the pictures together as a ZIP file and can then pass them on freely within the family.
How much does Sammelmomente cost for a family celebration?
Up to 10 guests, Sammelmomente is free for good. The 100 guests package is a one-off €39 per event and covers up to 100 guests with 30 photos each and 90 days of storage. There’s no subscription and no automatic renewal.
How do guests get the QR code?
Through the printable card from the editor (A4, A5 or A6) that you put out at the family celebration, or through the event link you send by messenger or with the invitation. Both lead to the same page.
Do guests need an app or an account?
No. Guests scan the QR code, confirm the privacy notice and take photos right in their phone’s browser. Nothing is installed and no account is created.
