Why a digital guestbook gets more entries
A paper guestbook has a simple problem: it lies in one place, and you have to go there. Between the drinks reception, dinner and the dance floor many people forget, and anyone who makes the effort late at night queues behind three others. A digital guestbook turns this around – via the QR code it comes to every guest at their table.
On top of that, many guests prefer writing calmly on their own phone to writing in an open book while others watch. Entries often become more personal and longer. And anyone who wants to add something the next morning can do so while the event is open.
A guestbook with questions, quotes and photos
Empty pages are the most common reason guests don’t write. So give a question or an opening on the table card: “Our advice for your marriage …”, “My favourite memory of you …” or “In ten years we wish you …”. Some will write a quote or a short poem, others a single sentence.

A bound guestbook, a wooden heart with signatures or a fingerprint tree are lovely keepsakes. As the only place for wishes, though, they rarely reach every guest. Many couples therefore use paper for the tactile part and the digital guestbook for the actual words and photos.
If you still want something to hold later, put the best entries and pictures into a photo book. Download the photos as a ZIP in good time before the storage period ends.
Collecting photos at your wedding: step by step
- Create the event and get your QR code. You create your event in the browser, pick colours and a welcome message and get a QR code plus link straight away. It only takes a few minutes.
- Hand out the code. Print the card from the editor in A4, A5 or A6 and put it on the tables at your wedding – or send the link to the group beforehand.
- Guests take photos in the browser. Scan, confirm the privacy notice, start shooting. No app and no account. With poor reception, shots are stored and uploaded later.
- Reveal the gallery and save the photos. You open the gallery straight away, at a set time or with a click. Then you download all the pictures as a ZIP.

How your digital guestbook fills up
- Print the QR code on the table cards and add a question, for example “What do you wish us for our first year of marriage?”. A concrete question brings more entries than an empty field.
- Ask the best man or maid of honour to mention the guestbook after dinner. That’s when most people have time and feel like writing.
- Also place the code at the bar or the photo corner. People waiting there write a few lines on the side.
- If you love something to hold, combine both: a small book for fingerprints or instant photos, the digital guestbook for all the words and pictures.

How much does Sammelmomente cost for a wedding?
Up to 10 guests, Sammelmomente is free for good. The 300 guests package is a one-off €79 per event and covers up to 300 guests with 25 photos each and 90 days of storage. There’s no subscription and no automatic renewal.
How do guests get the QR code?
Through the printable card from the editor (A4, A5 or A6) that you put out at your wedding, or through the event link you send by messenger or with the invitation. Both lead to the same page.
