Why a QR code works so well at weddings
Almost every phone recognises QR codes right in the camera app. Guests don’t have to search, type anything or swap numbers. They hold the phone over the table card and are in your gallery within seconds – the lowest barrier there is, which is exactly why more guests join in than with any other solution.

Creating a QR code for wedding photos, step by step
Create your event, enter names and date, and you get the QR code and link straight away. In the editor you turn it into a table card with your names, your own photo and a short line like “Scan, shoot, share”. Print the card in A4, A5 or A6 – at home or at a print shop.
Decide when the gallery becomes visible to everyone: immediately, at a set time, or only when you open it with a click the next morning. The number of shots per guest decides whether it feels more like a disposable camera or an open photo album.
Where the QR code belongs
The most important place is the tables: one card per table is enough, ideally in a small stand. Add the bar, the photo corner and the entrance, where guests stop for a moment anyway. If you send the link with the invitation, you’ll also get pictures from the evening before or the journey there.

Getting the most out of your QR code
- One code per table is enough. Put the card clearly in the middle, not between glasses and decorations.
- Add a short line saying what happens, for example “Scan and share your photos with us – no app needed”. A code without explanation often gets overlooked.
- Test the code with two different phones before printing, and don’t print it smaller than about 3 × 3 centimetres.
- Also send the link to the guest group after the party. That way the photos that only leave phones the next day still make it in.
